This website was born from the love we have for our village, Molières, and the desire to share it with the world. Our gîte d’étape “Les Découvertes” is a continuation of that love and desire. It enables us to offer a place where people from all over the world can discover and fall in love with Molières.
The gîte d’étape is located on the first floor of our house and can accommodate up to six people.
The living room
The spacious living room, with its once hidden history now uncovered and restored, offers a charming setting to rest.
To further help you relax and unwind there is a selection of books and board games, as well as some touristic pamphlets.
And when the days grow shorter and the temperatures drop, you can warm up by the fireplace.
Kitchen and dining area
The fully equipped kitchen with dining area allows you to prepare your own meals. It features a 4-ring induction stove, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer and, of course, all the necessary cook- and tableware.
All the appliances you need for breakfast are also present: a Senseo coffee machine, an electric kettle and a toaster. There is also a small stock of coffee and tea to start (or end) your day.
The bedrooms
We can accommodate up to 6 people: 2 in the double room and 4 in the dormitory with 4 single beds (2 bunk beds).
Bathrooms
Our gîte d’étape has two bathrooms and a separate toilet.
The first bathroom is fitted with a large walk-in shower and a washbasin. The second has a shower, washbasin and toilet.
Communal garden
During the long summer days you can enjoy our flower-filled garden. It’s the perfect place for an “apéro” or barbecue.
The garden furniture is at your disposal.
In summer the shutters will help to keep the temperature comfortable and in case of a heatwave there are ventilators available. During spring and autumn the gîte is heated by our central heating system and in winter you can light a fire in the fire place for some extra warmth and cosiness.
Our gîte d’étape is entirely non-smoking.

Staying at a gîte d’étape means you might not be the only guests present. It’s a place that encourages meaningful encounters, enriching conversations and a friendly atmosphere.
This is only possible if there is mutual respect and consideration. But we’re confident that for people with the “hiker’s spirit”, this shouldn’t be a problem.
